1 Monday, August 4, 12:00 - 4:00 pm Stained Glass Sunflower Suncatcher Taught by Maureen Coughlan, 18+ $65 Member / $72 Non-member Lets create a stunning sunflower to hang in your window. We will assemble the pieces by foiling them, soldering them, and then lets polish to shine and protect our creation. Everyone goes home with a finished project. The Newark Arts Alliance will retain a $5 cancellation fee if a student withdraws from a class. Maureen took a class in 2004 to make a simple glass suncatcher and she hasn't stopped yet. In those 20+ years, she created simple to complicated stained glass pieces including lamps, panels, suncatchers, and wind chimes. About 10 years ago she taught herself the techniques of fusing glass using her kiln. This passion for making glass creations continues in her retirement years. She is an exhibiting art at the Newark Arts Alliance.
