All levels of play welcome at our inaugural Open Play Mah Jong sessions at the Recreation Center. The goal is to meet and play with other beginners/intermediates/advanced and support your game journey. Instructor on hand to answer questions, help you pick hands, work on game strategy and share the joy of the game. Format will be East rotates out after each game to another table, play will be for points only and “cruise ship” for games with 3 people. This open playtime is for players that already know how to play and graduates of the beginners classes. If you wish to learn this amazing game, please sign up for the Beginner class. If your game is rusty, brush up for free on mahjong4friends.com.
Bring your NMJL 2025 card, games/mat/tablecloth to share with the group, rule book and snacks/drinks. Rule book handy to discuss rules as your questions come up. If you have a card table to share while you play and can bring it, that would be very helpful!
