Geese are not the only birds who migrate in the fall! Enjoy a leisurely walk 1-1.5 mile walk through Rockwood Park to observe migratory warblers and hawks while they rest and refuel on their way south for the winter. Learn about their journeys and how to spot them in their fall coloration from an environmental educator.
Program Information: -Program is held outdoors. -Hiking footwear is recommended. Trails have periodic benches for resting. -It is recommended to bring field tools such as identification guides and apps, as well as binoculars. Limited field tools may be available to borrow. -Distance traveled will be between 1 and 1.5 miles. -Outdoor surfaces traveled on in this program include: paved trails, dirt trails with roots and uneven surfaces, and steep hills. -This program includes visual, auditory, and tactile elements.
