Description

Join us at Rockwood Nature Center for a moth survey! As the sun sets, the night comes alive with our amazing nocturnal neighbors, the moths! Rockwood educators will set up a spotlight and a big white sheet to allow moths to fly over to the light and have a safe space to be observed. We will discuss topics such as different moth species, moth importance, and the differences between butterflies and moths. Bring your friends and family for some moth madness!

Program will take place at outdoor amphitheater next to Rockwood Nature Center. The outdoor amphitheater is the area with the wooden speaker podium and wooden benches, close to the archery range.
*Note: Parents/guardians are required to register with their children!
Program information: -Program is held outdoors.-Closed toed shoes are recommended.-Bringing layers of clothing (jackets, hoodies, beanies, etc) is recommended.-Area is wheelchair accessible with both paved and dirt walking paths.-This program includes visual and tactile elements.
