Description
Travel to the beautiful Shenandoah Valley for this one-of-a-kind tour. The first stop is the Green Valley Book Fair, a discount book outlet store that has become famous among book lovers throughout the mid-Atlantic region for its great selection and low prices. The next stop is Shenandoah Heritage Market to sample some old-fashioned valley goodness at one of the area’s largest country markets. Enjoy peaceful water gardens and park benches while wandering locally owned shops until we break for lunch at The Hungry Farmer Café.
After lunch, a guide will step on board for a riding tour of the Mennonite sights and history of the Harrisonburg area. Enjoy a stop at the Brethren & Mennonite Heritage Center that celebrates these two communities who have lived side by side in the Shenandoah Valley for more than two centuries. End the day at Mt. Crawford Creamery for a tour of the farm where they milk between 60-80 cows twice a day and learn about the production of this delicious milk. Sampling is included!
