About this event
Let's get ready to entertain! Charcuterie boards are a great way to set up snacks and hors d'hoeuvres for guests to help themselves to. It is an easy, low-stress way to present food that looks and sounds a lot fancier and more complicated than what it actually is. In this class, we will put together a beautiful, comprehensive charcuterie board, make a fromage fort, and be treated to some serving suggestions and ideas for various occasions and palates. Fromage fort is a homemade cheese spread that is economical and delicious. It is made up of ingredients most people likely already have sitting in their fridge. It is never the same thing twice, and all you need is a food processor. Join us for a fun night of tasting treats and sharing ideas as we get ready for the holiday season! This is a demo or hands-on class, whatever you are comfortable with. Students are welcome to put an apron on and cook with us or sit back and watch. Bring an apron, a couple of small containers for leftovers, and your appetite! Recipes provided. Registration closes at noon on 9/25. Mary Bailey, pastry chef and past owner/chef of Thyme and Honey Bakery in Biddeford, is passionate about baking bread and teaching people how to incorporate homemade bread into their daily lives.
