The Cattaraugus County Suicide Prevention Walk will be on Saturday, September 20, 2025 from 4:00-8:00PM at Lincoln Park in Olean, NY. This is the last walk in the United for HOPE Suicide Prevention Walk Series.
For many years, Cattaraugus County hosted the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention’s (AFSP) Out of the Darkness® Walk. This year, AFSP is not sponsoring a local walk in our county. In its place, coalitions in Chautauqua, Cattaraugus, and Allegany counties are hosting the United for HOPE Walk Series. This is a community-led event and is not affiliated with AFSP. - Walk Opening Ceremony: 6pm
- Closing Ceremony: Immediately following the end of the Walk
Walk Route: North on Union St. from Lincoln Park to Main St. roundabout and back to the park; approximately 1.5 mi.
Parking Info: Parking is limited near the Lincoln Park Pavilion; arrive early for closer parking.
What to wear: Please watch the weather forecast and dress accordingly. We will walk RAIN OR SHINE.
