Description
Americana is a broadly encompassing genre that includes the American songbook, country crossover, standards, blues, and variations thereof. And those are the kind of tunes you'll learn on uke in this evolving beginner level ukulele class. All time classic songs such as "As Time Goes By,""Hey Good Lookin'," "Sentimental Journey," "Shine On Harvest Moon," "Up A Lazy River," "Autumn Leaves," and "Ain't She Sweet" will be among the tunes covered. Pre-requisite: An introduction to ukulele class such as Yes You Can Play the Ukulele or similar beginner level class is recommended, but you must know at least 7 basic chords and be able to transition between them. Please bring your soprano, concert or tenor ukulele (no baritone ukes, please), a pick, and a capo to each class meeting. And if you have a portable music stand or book holder, bring that, too. Instructor: Jeff Saxon
