This course is for students who are a part of the OLU DSPS program. The emphasis of this course is on physical, mental, social-emotional, and spiritual wellness. Specific topics include holistic health and wellness, nutrition, exercise, sleep, infectious and non-infectious diseases, stress, self-image, self-awareness, self-management and goal-setting, responsible decision-making, persuasive advertising, first aid and emergencies, bullying and abuse, social awareness, effective communication, dating and marriage, and death and suffering. Successful completion of this course will fulfill the Health class requirement for graduation.
