Description
Parker Recreation Adult Sports Leagues are designed to be safe and fun for the lifelong athlete, while incorporating recreational rules and philosophies.• Pickleball leagues are played as Doubles (2 v 2)• All players must be 18 when the league starts.Adult Pickleball Rule Highlights: www.ParkerRec.com/AdultPickleball• Matches will be best of 3. 11pts.• Teams may consist of coed or gender specific players.• All teams, regardless of gender make-up, can play one another as long as they have the same skill ranking.
Division Description:• Intermediate (2.5 to 3.5): This league is comprised of intermediate teams with players who consider themselves of less to average experience, considered a USAPA rating of 2.5 to 3.5. Teams are not quite ready for competitive leagues. Teams participate for fun and competition but understand that winning isn’t the entire purpose of the game.
• All players will self-grade to determine their skill division.• Players must use USAPA ranking guidelines to choose their appropriate division. (Definition of Player Skill Ratings - USA Pickleball Association)We also recommend downloading DUPR to receive a rating, DUPR is a free and easy to use app.• Beginner players cannot play with Intermediate, and vice versa.• The Parker Parks and Recreation Department reserves the right to move teams to a more appropriate division as they see fit.
Game schedules will be released online approximately one week prior to the season start date: www.TeamSideline.com/parkerrec.• Ten games are guaranteed. The season includes a regular season and ends with playoffs. Playoff formats are determined by the number of teams registered.• Teams must have a minimum of 2 players, and a maximum of 4.• 24 teams will make the playoffs; the last six teams will only play nine games.
