In its third year at GFS, this camp has become an annual tradition of celebrating adventure and the great outdoors. Join us for this week-long camp on our historic campus in Germantown, plus trips to Wissahickon Park and Blue Bell Park! Geocaching is a worldwide treasure hunt that utilizes a handheld GPS unit, a good set of eyes and a bit of hiking around. Experienced staff from GeoVentures will guide campers in how to use a GPS for geocaching, searching for hidden containers and designing their own geocaching course. It’s a real-life adventure game where puzzles and challenges await you at each turn of the trail! About GeoVentures: GeoVentures was started by a parent of two GFS students. We are proud to host them at GFS for 3 years in a row! GeoVentures’ mission is to get people active & back outdoors. They’re dedicated to reconnecting people with the outdoors through nature-based adventures. Utilizing games, technology and unique storylines, their programs introduce participants to new activities that encourage a healthy lifestyle and connection with the world that surrounds them. GeoVentures instructors are highly trained, certified and have a love for connecting people with nature. They have a passion for working with kids, infectious enthusiasm and the ability to be a positive role model. Please note: this camp will include trips to larger outdoor spaces such as Wissahickon Valley Park.
