Ages 11-18

The museum is excited to host the Historical Writing Club in collaboration with partner museums, universities, and archives from New Jersey. Club members will explore local history topics, gain behind-the-scenes access to collections, and develop valuable research and writing skills. Participants will have the opportunity to visit participating museums and archives in person to conduct research or access digitized records remotely. They will also have the chance to publish their essays in newsletters, museum publications, and academic journals, receiving recognition for their contributions. This unique program offers students a meaningful way to connect with professional historians, build an impressive portfolio, and strengthen their preparation for college and future academic opportunities.
Club meetings will be held virtually on the second and fourth Saturdays of the month. Members must be in either middle or high school.
