Join Dorothy and her loyal companion Toto as they “Follow the Yellow Brick Road” through the Land of Oz, determined to reach the Emerald City, where the great and powerful Wizard of Oz will help them get home. Of course, along the way, Dorothy encounters witches (both good and bad), Munchkins, talking trees and winged monkeys. But most importantly, she befriends three unique characters: a Scarecrow with no brain, a Tin Man with no heart, and a Lion with no “nerve.” Their journey to happiness – and self-awareness – is a glowing testament to friendship, understanding and hope in a world filled with both beauty and ugliness. AUDITIONS: Saturday, 6/28 10am-1pm - Black Box Material: Full Audition Packets will be posted on your Google Classroom. Students will sing a selection from the show and should be ready to perform sides at the audition. Submit your audition form, headshot, and resume on your Google Classroom. REHEARSALS: M-F, starting 7/7; 1pm-5pm SET BUILD: Saturday, 7/12 10am-1pm. (This may also be used for additional rehearsal time. All students and one parent per actor are required to attend.) Students are required to be present at all rehearsals and shows. Please do not schedule any appointments or events for your student during this rehearsal period.
