When Prince Hamlet’s father dies under mysterious circumstances, his world is turned upside down. His mother’s sudden marriage to his uncle—now the new king—only deepens his suspicion. But when the ghost of his father appears, revealing a dark truth, Hamlet is thrust into a dangerous game of deception, madness, and revenge. Filled with intense drama, razor-sharp wit, and gripping sword fights, "Hamlet" is one of Shakespeare’s greatest tragedies. Who will you side with? The conflicted prince, the cunning Claudius, the loyal Horatio, or the doomed Ophelia? This production promises powerful emotions and unforgettable moments to our stage. AUDITIONS: Friday, 6/6, 10am-1pm Material: Full Audition Packets will be posted on your Google Classroom. Students should memorize a 1-minute Shakespearean monologue from a different show (OTHER THAN HAMLET) that represents the character that they are auditioning for. Be ready to perform the monologue and sides at the audition. Submit your audition form, headshot, and resume on your Google Classroom. REHEARSALS: M-F, starting 6/16; 12pm-5pm Once the cast list is released - you are expected to start memorizing. Please be off book for rehearsals. SET BUILD: Saturday, 6/21, 10am-1pm. (This may also be used for additional rehearsal time. All students and one parent per actor are required to attend.) PERFORMANCE DATES: Fri 6/27 @7PM, Sat 6/28 @2PM & 7PM, Sun 6/29 @3PM ADDITIONAL INFORMATION Genesis provides costumes—supplemental items & shoes from your wardrobe. Students are required to be present at all rehearsals and shows. Please do not schedule any appointments or events for your student during this rehearsal period. Please send a snack, a personal water bottle, and a pencil each day to rehearsal. Please help your student at home to memorize their lines. Tickets will be available for purchase online.
