Join this custom outdoor experiential program to take a deep dive into learning the ancient skills of fire safety & craft, shelter building, orienteering/navigation, knife safety & craft, cordage, knots, first aid, and much more. The group will work on projects each week, focusing on teamwork and interdependence. They will build a homebase in the park and navigate their way from different corners of the area. Bring layers and clothing appropriate for the weather and pack the following in a backpack: snack, lunch, water, extra socks, and hats/gloves as the weather changes. No personal knives allowed at camp and cell phones are only for parent contact. If you expect your student to need to contact you, please let Ms. Jill know in advance to make a plan around phone use. This class will have Ms. Jill as a lead solo instructor with an approximate student ratio of 1:8. The group will be expected to respond to redirection and generally following instructions.
