Description
Junior Firefighter ProgramThe Saugeen Shores Junior Firefighter program will run for six weeks with two- hour training sessions every Wednesday evening from 6:30-8:30pm.
- Program runs from Wednesday April 16th - May 21st
- Program is every Wednesday from 6:30-8:30pm
- Participants MUST be able to attend all sessions
- Participants are required to wear closed-toe shoes and will also be required to bring rubber boots due to the nature of activities.
- Participants will receive a shirt for taking part in the program. Please select the correct sizing for participant when enrolling. Cost of shirt if it was required to be changed would be up to the parents to pay.
This program will offer participants the opportunity to learn Fire Safety Training in the following areas:
- Home Fire Safety Planning
- Fire Extinguisher Training
- First Aid Awareness
- Pumper and Hose Handling Techniques
- Hazmat Awareness
Training will occur at Saugeen Shores Fire Station 60. Located at 612 Emma St, Port Elgin, ON.
