Instructor: Ms. Emma 1.5 hour class! Small class of 10 students max. This is for fall session only: November 7 - December 19. If you're looking for a school-year long class, please go back and see the other options. In this course, students will learn where clay comes from, stages of clay, and the full ceramic process from squishy to glazed! Learn handbuilding basics, then move on to pottery wheel safety and basics, practice centering and work towards making functional creations as you strengthen your hands and hone your skills. This is an ongoing class that may be repeated, and prepares students for continuing study to the next level of ceramics when readiness is demonstrated. Grades 6-9 or by Instructor's permission. Tuition includes clay, glazing and firing costs.
