Description

This time of year is the peak for fall migration of birds in our area, as millions of birds travel south for the winter. Come prepared to hike at least a mile on natural surfaces by wearing close-toed shoes and bringing a full water bottle. Binoculars are recommended, but we have a few we can loan out as needed. Suggested for ages 8 and up. Registration is required for all family members, and children must have adult accompaniment. Please arrive at the park office five minutes early for program check-in. FREE.
*Please note that this 10:30 a.m. hike offers an opportunity for experienced birders to get some more experience in one of the most birded parks in the area. (A separate program for beginner birders is offered at 8:30 a.m.)
