About this event
Description
How does a landfill become a park? Take a walking tour up the Big Hill to discover how Green Hills came to be. You’ll learn how landfills work, what we can do with them when they’re full, and ways to reduce your waste to extend landfill life. We'll see what wildlife we can spot along the way as well! This program will involve hiking about 1.5 miles total up and downhill on gravel terrain. There will also be extended periods of standing.
For 16yrs & up. Counts towards NCEE Criteria II or III
