Master the delicate art of pâte à choux (choux pastry) in this hands-on class, where you'll learn to create two classic French pastries: light-as-air cream puffs and elegant éclairs. You’ll be pleasantly surprised by the ease of creating these sublime pastries. Throughout the class, you’ll gain expertise in preparing quick choux paste, perfecting your piping techniques and learning the art of filling and finishing them to perfection.
All ingredients, aprons and equipment are included in the registration and materials fee. Just bring yourself and a to-go container for your creations! Recipes and equipment suggestions will be provided in class.
What can you expect from our class together?
- The class is fully interactive, so feel free to ask questions as we go.
- Great results go beyond the recipe. Learn the basics of cooking: mise en place, proper
- techniques, essential equipment, ingredients, and kitchen safety
- Please tie back long hair; we'll cook and serve family-style at the end.
- Wear sturdy, closed-toe shoes as you will be standing & working in the kitchen.
- Be prepared to work in teams of 2-4, depending on class size.
- Alert your instructor to any food allergies BEFORE the day of class so we can plan accordingly.
