Get ready for the ride of your life at the Kiwanis Activity Center (5305 Mill St, Reno, NV 89502) Taught by the Kiwanis Bike Program Instructors, participants will learn how to safely ride a bike, ride in a group, switch gears for climbing, and other safety skills. Participants will be divided into two groups: strider bike riders and riders who can ride a two-wheel bike without training wheels. Participants who use training wheels will join with the strider riders to transition to 2-wheel pedal bikes during the week of camp. The riders will be introduced to skills both in parking lot games and drills, and on rides on bike paths in the area. Striders will work on skills leading to off-site riding on the last day of camp. Bring a bike and a helmet or one can be loaned for the week. No daily rate available – weekly rate only.
