Description

Join us for a day on the water as we paddle seven miles of the Nippersink Creek through the wilds of McHenry County. Meet at Keystone Landing to learn basic paddling techniques, kayak safety, and river kayaking. We will also learn more about the plants and animals that call this ecosystem home, and how the Conservation District works to keep the creek healthy. The trip includes a stop for a primitive picnic so bring a sack lunch and plenty of water to drink. Please wear shoes that can get wet and fully secure to your feet and don't forget to pack your sunscreen! Be aware there are no restroom facilities along the creek.
