About this event
Description
Join us for a two-part webinar series taught by Stewardship & Outreach Seasonal Lauren (Ren) Wells. Using her knowledge as a former Spanish tutor and local Chicago-area Latina, we’ll cover:- Basic Spanish language skills,
- Practical phrases for the field, and
- Cultural context to foster inclusivity in conservation.
Let’s build stronger relationships with our neighbors while caring for the land, water, plants, and animals that call McHenry County home.
We’d also love to hear from you about topics or phrases that you would like to learn about during the webinar – please fill out this brief survey to share your questions ahead of time!
Once you've signed up, we'll send you a virtual meeting invitation with instructions on how to join the webinar. If you're not able to make it, we'll be recording these webinars so you can view them afterwards on a private link.
Although these were developed for District volunteers, these webinars are free and open to anyone.
Please contact Jackie Bero at jbero@mccdistrict.org or (815) 219-1549 if you have any questions or recommendations for future volunteer training topics.
