Fridays, 5:15-6:45 pm - Three 10-week sessions (total of 30 weeks)

Ages 18+, intermediate-advanced level, NYSSMA Level 4+ or the equivalent

Session 1: 10 Weeks, September 5 - November 21, 2025 (November 21 concert)

Session 2: 10 Weeks, December 5, 2025 - March 13, 2026 (March 13- concert)

Session 3: 10 Weeks, March 20 - June 12, 2026 (Saturday, June 12 - concert)

Note: Some weeks off due to school vacations and other skip dates to be announced by conductor.

Join fellow violinists, violists, cellists, and double-bassists in the joyful musical interaction that is a string orchestra! Students will come together to learn repertoire pieces in a collaborative, friendly environment and work toward a final performance at the end of each session. Students can continue from one session to the next, and each session provides new repertoire and ends with a concert. Participants should be able to play repertoire such as an easy Baroque sonata or concerto movement.

Fee: $20 registration fee; $570 tuition, payable in three, 10-week increments of $190. For those enrolled in individual lessons at Hochstein, tuition is discounted 18%. Payment dates line up with the first date of each session (September 5, December 5, March 20).
