About this event
Chef Amy just returned from a trip to the Greek Isles, and is excited to share some of the many dishes she enjoyed at all the wonderful family-run tavernas. If you enjoy hearing travel stories while enjoying fresh, summery food, this class is perfect for you! Your Greek meal will begin with Amy's Maroulosalata, and this is not your typical Greek salad. This sweet-and-tangy salad features fresh greens, herbs, tangy aged goat cheese, dried fruits and nuts, all brought together in a flavorful mustard vinaigrette. For your entree, you'll enjoy Garides Me Anitho, quick and delicious herb-butter shrimp served over orzo, along with Summer Keftedes, tasty little fritters packed with tomato and zucchini. No meal is complete without a sweet treat, so to end the meal you'll learn to make Portokalopita, an orange-flavored "pie" infused with a healthy hint of delicious dark chocolate. Try a taste of ouzo during class if you want the full taverna experience!
