About this event
OVERVIEW NRA Basic Instructor Training (BIT) is the foundational class for all NRA Instructors. BIT is to improve your teaching techniques and teach you how the NRA wants its curriculum presented. NRA Training Counselors teach it and classes are subject to a minimum number of instructor Candidates. NRA Basic Instructor Training is a non-shooting class taken in conjunction with an NRA instructor discipline. NRA-CERTIFIED INSTRUCTORS ARE EXPECTED TO: -Conduct NRA Basic Courses per policies and procedures outlined by NRA -Uphold the quality and integrity of national firearm safety and training standards established by the NRA -Promote firearm safety and shooting sports -Report training data to NRA COMPLETING THIS COURSE WILL TEACH YOU: -About delivering NRA training courses the NRA way -Instructor Ethics -NRA Training Policies and Procedures -Roles and Responsibilities of Trainers -Organizing Your Course -Generating Publicity for your course -Preparing to Teach -Training Athletes with Physical Disabilities WHO IS THE COURSE FOR?
