About this event
OVERVIEW In this course, coach candidates will develop the skills needed to train beginning and intermediate shotgun athletes in disciplines such as trap, skeet, and sporting clays. Under the guidance of NRA National Coach Development Staff, students will gain a deep understanding of shotgun shooting fundamentals, safety protocols, coaching strategies, and effective team development. This course is endorsed by organizations such as USA Shooting, the Scholastic Clay Target Program, and the Civilian Marksmanship Program. Level 1 Shotgun Coaches must be at least 18 years old, but juniors age 15–17 may attend and earn certification as NRA Junior Trainers upon successful completion of the two-day course.
