Description
This semester we offer a series of small group self defense sessions offered on Thursday evenings (5-6:30pm) in Hagan Gym. Space is limited (20 max. per session). Each session is designed as a stand-alone class. No equipment/experience required. All experience and ability levels welcome.

Module 1: Walk Before Running - Basics Of Evasion Skills (August 28)
Module 2: Grabs and go - Basics of Escaping/Removing Grabs, Chokes, & Holds (September 4)
Module 3: Get To Work - Waiting for the bus, train, shuttle: Defending in Close Quarters (September 11)
Module 4: Check Your Pockets - Using Everyday Items For Self Defense (September 18)
Instructor Bio:
Jimmy Choi, MD - Safety Consultant, Instructor Trainer & Founder (1st Five Minutes)
Jimmy is currently a practicing, board certified Emergency Medicine physician. In addition to clinical medicine, Jimmy has taught martial arts and self defense across the country for over 20 years from across the country from San Francisco to New York. He has helped train law enforcement, private security, and amateur fighters. Seeing a disparity in everyday self defense and safety for everyone, Jimmy has combined his experiences in the ER with that of self defense with the hopes of keeping everyday people safe across all diverse groups and backgrounds.
