In this hands-on program campers will be using TinkerCAD. We will cover features and tools available in the application; talk about different aspects of design like perspective, measurements, proportions, interior design, architecture, etc. Campers will model different objects while progressing through the curriculum. We will give them challenges to recreate designs, build famous places in the world (e.g. Golden Gate Bridge), and give them time to create their own masterpieces implementing their wildest ideas into life. We will work with 3D printers, and learn how to prepare the model for printing, print and maintain the model. Each student will have at least 2 printed creations. Campers will use Lego blocks to build their designs. They will learn how to prepare step-by-step layered instructions for Lego building. In addition, campers will create and tell their stories using Lego bricks and 3D models.
