Club Name: 3D Printing Mechanics and Design Advisor Name: Rong Zhang Email: roz.tdp@gmail.com 3D Printing is an advancing field enabling aerospace, robotics, and medical industries. Students will start off learning 3D Design and basic Animation in artistic and engineering applications, moving from Tinkercad to Blender and Onshape/Fusion to bring their concepts to life. They will work with and teardown a open-source Voron 3D Printer. Alongside, they will understand the mechanics of modern 3D Printing from motion systems and low level programming to basic material science, mastering the workflow from design to print. They will put these skills to the test, participating in monthly 3D Design Contests on Model Forums. (See links below) Students will receive most of their designs printed as they are designed. Students should bring laptops.
