Advisor Name: Renu Batheja Email: renu.batheja@gmail.com The AI and Cardiology Club is for students interested in learning about cardiovascular diseases and how AI is used in analysis, as well as publishing literature review papers. The 1st half of the year consists of learning about the cardiovascular system. Members will be introduced to topics such as heart diseases, risk factors, treatments, and new research. Students will see how AI is used to diagnose and treat such diseases. Guest lecturers, discussions, and guided study are included. In the 2nd half, students will begin writing research papers. They will review existing research, analyze studies, and format an academic paper. With mentorship, students can write a research paper with the goal of publication in student journals. Students need a computer to take notes and do their research.
