About this event

Description

This class will be a general introduction to bats, their natural histories, ecologies, and how they are studied. The Central Coast bat cohort will be presented in context with these characteristics. A brief natural history and ecology of each of the Central Coast’s 19 species will be revealed, along with their identifying features and clues for their identification in the field and in the hand. Note: This class will NOT involve living specimens or handling of such. There will be one optional, weather-dependent field opportunity to observe and acoustically sample bats at a nearby location.
Class Schedule: Our class schedules may be subject to change. You can always view the most current class status anytime on the Community Programs website. To stay up to date after registering, please monitor your email, as any changes will be sent to the email address we have on file.
