Description
Are you interested in taking the Japanese Language Proficiency Test (JLPT), living or studying in Japan, or working in the animation and gaming industry? This class is for the academically inclined individual not afraid to take a deep dive into the complicated world of Japanese grammar, reading, and writing. We will cover both hiragana, katakana, and an introduction to Kanji. Let’s study Japanese! ????????????Required Book: Genki 1 (third edition)“Sensei Debbie’s class helped me understand the Japanese language and made me feel excited to learn more and to travel to Japan! I like the Genki textbook and the free app OTO Navi from the Japan Times that gives the audio content as well. Meeting on Zoom is convenient. Sensei Debbie is very knowledgeable about the language and culture of Japan and I recommend taking this class!”Margaret Barnhill Bodemer, Ph.D.Lecturer, History Department and Asian Studies Minor California Polytechnic State University, San Luis ObispoCLASS SCHEDULE: Subject to Change: Due to their very nature, our classes are “subject to change”.
