Description
Micro-farming, from indoors or out. How to grow using hydroponic systems, organically. Microgreens and sprouts. This class will cover all systems, set-up, maintenance and growth identifying time-frame expectations from germination to harvest. Those who participate will be able to replicate the growing methods in any space, a small apartment or garage or outdoor patio. Students will work in small groups to build a hydroponic system, then do maintenance on an existing hydroponic system. They will germinate first seeds, then participate in transitioning already germinated seeds into grow pods. Followed by system cleaning, and fertilization of plants in the growth phase. The class will end with harvesting of finished greens and students can take home some of the microgreens to enjoy at the end.Class Schedule: Our class schedules may be subject to change. Microgreen growing techniques, focusing on hydroponic systems, fully organic and applicable in any space, indoor or out. This farming style can be utilized in small apartments, garage or back patio with ease. Microgreens are ideal for farm to table, used in salads or juicing. Very high in vitamins, this growing method allows anyone at any stage of life to enjoy farm life to its fullest!
