Description
The California Naturalist course introduces Californians to the wonders of our unique ecology and engages the public in study and stewardship of California’s natural communities. To fulfill the required 40 hours of education for certification, the 8-week class meets for 6 hours every Friday. Each week we cover a different subject and take field trips to local natural areas.
*The first and last class will be on campus all day. All other days will be 9am-10am on campus and 10am-3pm off campus.
Class Schedule: Our class schedules may be subject to change. You can always view the most current class status anytime on the Community Programs website. To stay up to date after registering, please monitor your email, as any changes will be sent to the email address we have on file.
Please bring California Naturalist Handbook, field journal, and a cell phone with camera.
