Based in San Pedro, Belize, TREC is an organization dedicated to Research, Education and Conservation, providing educators and their students with all the components necessary for conducting university level courses. For over 30 years, they have been advancing coral reef education and research. TREC works with visiting researchers, foreign and local undergraduates, graduate students, and high school students with marine biology interests. We have been running programs there since 2010 and include a day to explore Mayan culture, culminating with a visit to the ruins. The group may fly with Sea Star staff from Miami or make their own flight arrangements. The cost of airfare is separate from tuition.
