About this event
Get back in touch with your inner child while exercising your funny bone! Improv comedy has been a longstanding American platform first innovated by Viola Spolin in the 1940s, which has seen immense benefit to its practitioners. From meeting new people, sharpening your wit, paying attention to the world around you, to living in the moment. This class will teach the fundamentals of Improvisations Comedy to the community, while also highlighting highly transferable skills such as active listening, collaboration, and thoughtful response. Plus - it's really fun! W. Tyler Paterson is a graduate of Second City Chicago who spent 5 years touring with his comedy group. The group Shock T's. In 2023 - he auditioned for Saturday Night Live. Since moving back of New England, he collaborates and teaches workshops for Stranger than Fiction, Queen City Improv, and You Should Smile More. He is also the founder and operator of the Ocean Park Improve Camp for Kids - a fully funded camp that allows children to learn the basics of improv at no coast to them or their families. At SNHU, he teaches a research writing class called "The Value of Humor".
