This class is for intermediate players looking to improve consistency, footwork, technique, and overall skill development. Sessions feature fast-paced drills and games designed for intermediate adult recreational players. Once warm-up and drills are completed, classes will typically incorporate games such as liveball and 105.
Prerequisite Skills
Players should meet the following criteria:
- Able to hold a 10-20 ball rally with a peer
- Know the basic form of groundstrokes, volleys, and overheads
- Beginning to hit with and return balls with pace
- Starting to consider strategy and positioning during play
- Free evaluation on weekends at Santa Monica High School- contact Debbie at 310-430-1962
- Players must bring a tennis racquet and wear non-marking shoes
REFUNDS/TRANSFERS - A $15.00 processing fee applies for each activity session refunded. Refunds will be prorated. Refund/transfer requests must be emailed to the Community Classes & Camps office at community.classes@santamonica.gov. Refunds will be issued only if requested within one day after the first class meeting. Material fees are not discountable and are nonrefundable.
REFUNDS FOR DUPLICATE/MULTIPLE ENROLLMENTS resulting from multiple registration submissions (at one or more offices or via online registration) will be subject to a $15.00 processing fee for each activity session refunded.
CANCELLED CLASSES: Makeups will not be offered for classes missed by the student. Programs are subject to cancellation if minimum enrollment is not met.
