Special offering! BEGINNER/INTERMEDIATE LEVEL BALBOA. What is Balboa? This swing-adjacent dance, also known as simply "Bal," originated in Southern California in the 1920s, and was popular in the 1930s and '40s. This eight-count basic enjoyed a resurgence in the Great Lindy Hop Revival of 1998 and is now a staple of the swing dance world. Particularly suited for (but not limited to) fast music, this is a great addition to your swing dance vocabulary. Suitable for dancers of all levels, this class will drill the basics as well as adding interesting new material for those already experienced in Balboa.
