Join Sarah Orre for a colorful and creative holiday afternoon in our Holiday Hoop Silk Painting Workshop, perfect for artists of all ages and experience levels!

Whether you're looking to try something new or create a handmade holiday gift, this hands-on workshop offers a fun, relaxed environment to explore this beautiful medium.
We’ll begin by sketching our designs on paper using watercolor techniques to plan our silk pieces. Stencils and design inspiration will be available, but feel free to bring your own reference images.
Your final artwork will shine—all contained in a 6" circle hoop—ideal for hanging in a sunny window. Once your design is ready, you'll transfer it onto silk using gutta resist, then paint it with vibrant silk dyes. We'll also experiment with salt effects for added texture and finish the piece with a beaded hanging strand for a touch of sparkle. Come enjoy the magic of silk painting in a cozy, family-friendly setting—and leave with a unique piece of art that makes a perfect holiday keepsake!
