Connections Prep is a short-term 10-week class designed for students with a year of learning on their instrument seeking proficiency and confidence before entering a Connections class. Students will dive deeper into musical language spoken in the jazz tradition. Learning ideas like how intervals create chords and how chords can open a world of improvisation. Learn more about reading music and how to interpret a lead sheet and what to make of the different letters, numbers and symbols on a sheet of music. Ideal for students who have completed Foundations or equivalent introductory instrument class with basic technique and sound production skills.
