About this event

Come join us for a look at a unique time in the history of America! We will be looking at World War 1 and the history of Nebraska but doing it with hands-on experiences! In this class you will literally go into the trenches and feel what it was like to be there! Children will also be able to meet actual pilots, and soldiers, who will share their experience with them. They will learn about aviation, trench warfare and famous people from Nebraska who fought for our county! The museum has a vast number of artifacts for the students to see and touch! This is a hands-on class your child won’t want to miss! Students will travel to the National Guard Museum. *Off Campus Travel Permission Required* Teacher: Jerry Meyer - Nebraska National Guard Historian and former Columbus High School History teacher and Founder of the Andrew Jackson Higgins National Memorial in Columbus
