Students need both academic and executive skills to be successful in high school. In this class, we will study brain research and reflect on our own executive strengths and weaknesses. With this awareness, students will create a menu of tools and strategies to support their brains. They will also learn to organize school materials, take notes effectively, read academic texts, determine priorities, manage time effectively and study smarter. These study strategies are adaptable to any academic setting and will specifically address the King Summer Homework.
