FREE, but RSVP is required! Group size is limited! Join Mary O'Brien for a delightful wildflower hike through the easy-to-access Sanctuary Trail near downtown Steamboat Springs. A Colorado native based in Steamboat Springs, Mary is deeply rooted in her community, where she shares her wealth of knowledge through teaching and crafting herbal products. As you wander through the Sanctuary Trail's tapestry of blooms, Mary's expert guidance will unveil the medicinal properties and cultural significance of the flora. Important details: Ages 16+ Only What to expect: Our route is about 1 mile in total with zero elevation gain on a paved recreational trail and a wide dirt trail. What to wear: This is a casual walk. Wear comfortable clothes and shoes for an hour outside; be ready for what the weather brings for the day. Sun protection such as a hat, sunglasses, and sunscreen is recommended- UV rays are much more powerful at our elevation so even one hour is enough to cause sunburns and sight damage.  What to bring: Ensure you have a water bottle and any medications you may need, including epi-pens, with you. We ask that you please leave furry friends at home unless they are service animals! Where to meet: We will meet at the trailhead parking area near 810 Steamboat Boulevard.
