Location Details: Meet at lifeguard tower at the foot of Sullivan St. Please be aware August lessons are a REPEAT of July lessons. Get ready for an exciting new chapter of JLC! This year, our program is part of a groundbreaking national movement to recognize Junior lifeguarding as a sport—and your child can be part of it! Open to youth ages 10-14, this pilot program blends fun, fitness, and lifesaving education. Participants will develop their skills across three key branches of the sport: Beach Flags – Speed, strategy, and agility in a thrilling beachside sprint. Swimming Rescue Skills – Strengthen lifesaving techniques in the water. Craft Skills – Learn to maneuver rescue boards and other essential equipment. Alongside these sport-focused activities, children will also gain valuable knowledge in basic first aid and lifesaving skills, laying the foundation for future lifeguarding courses and waterfront safety.
