Ready to step behind the scenes where the best stories are brought to life? Behind the Curtain is a one-of-a-kind summer camp where young artists and creators can dive into the exciting world of stage design! Whether you're interested in set building, prop design, or just the theater realm itself, this camp will teach you how to turn imaginative ideas into real, tangible designs for the stage. Camp Highlights: -Creative Process: Gain insight into the entire design process—from conceptualizing ideas and making a model to choosing materials. -Set Design & Construction: Learn how to design and build set pieces that transform a space for a performance. You’ll work hands-on with wood, fabric, and paint to bring your designs to life. -Collaboration & Teamwork: Stage design is a team effort! You’ll work closely with other campers to develop cohesive designs that support a theatrical production. Collaborate on every aspect, from the initial concept to the final details, and see your ideas come to life together. -Theatrical Production & Presentation: At the end of camp, all your hard work will be showcased in action as the Theater Performance Camp uses one or more of the designs to stage a show. By the end of the week, you’ll not only have gained invaluable skills in stage design but also experienced the magic of watching your creations come to life on stage. Whether you're a future designer, artist, or just someone who loves the theater, Behind the Curtain is the perfect opportunity to explore your creative potential and make lasting memories with fellow artists.
