Description

This fun technique will take your pottery to a new artistic level, but no artistic experience needed. We will hand build a couple vases and sgraffito or decorate other ways. Sgraffito (in Italian means "to scratch") is a decorative pottery technique produced by applying layers of underglaze to greenware pottery and then scratching off layers to create contrasting patterns that reveals the clay underneath. We will use graphics to transfer your image onto your clay. After bisque firing you will apply clear glaze to your work.
