Go off road! Mountain biking is a great way to have fun on the bike while also improving your bike-handling skills.
If there's a November Project meetup in your area, it's is a great way to stay fit alongside like-minded individuals. Bootcamps and CrossFit boxes are common too and can be another good option.
Standup paddling challenges your balance, trains muscles that aren't normally used during tri training and helps you maintain general fitness. Plus, it's fun trying something completely new.
Maintaining muscle mass, injury prevention and building muscular endurance are just a few reasons to hit the gym—especially if it's the area of tri training you often "forgot" during the season.
