On this Lab Day, we’re handing you the questions — and the tools to start answering them! From building a hypothesis to testing a theory, you’ll step into the process of scientific discovery. Designed for students in grades 7–11, this immersive simulation will break down real differences between a dry and wet lab in Science, Engineering and Technology. Then, you will take on a collaborative research journey with your peers, and gain tools along the way that will strengthen your research skills. You’ll explore how scientists think, solve, and imagine — no goggles required. Even more, you can expect to meet researchers from UBC who will share their lab journeys, hear about the role ethics play in research and if time allows, we may get to witness their lab spaces as well!
