Description

Comics & Cartooning Ages 6-8, 9-12 Students learn how to tell captivating illustrated stories using the most fundamental principles of visual art including bold lines, simple shapes, and strong colour choices. Students learn to apply simplification and exaggeration to communicate their stories with clarity and humour. Working with pen, pencil, marker, and ink, students learn to create sequential action, movement, story, and sound through the graphic conventions of cartooning and comics. Students also learn panel layout, character sheets, speech bubbles, and hand-lettering.
